| Description | Cape Colonial house. Spectacular view from the verandas of Knysna Heads and Knysna Lagoon. Hide-Away is located within walking distance from Knysna town centre and the Waterfront, ideal for shopping and eating options.
Number of rooms and descriptions 2 x Executive Rooms with lagoon view (located on the ground floor): Large, extremely comfortable and well appointed rooms. En-suite bathrooms with showers. 1 room has a king size bed, the other has a queen size bed. TV, air conditioning, heater, electric blankets (in winter), hairdryer, safe, mini bar and hot/cold tray are available in all rooms. Gowns are provided. Breakfast is served on the veranda – weather permitting. 3 x Superior Rooms with lagoon view (located on the first floor): Extremely comfortable and well appointed rooms. En-suite bathrooms with showers. 2 rooms have queen size beds and 1 room offers twin beds. TV, fan, heater, electric blankets (in winter), hairdryer, safe, mini bar and hot/cold tray are available in all rooms. Gowns are provided. Breakfast is served on the verandah – weather permitting. 1 x Superior Room with no lagoon view (located in the Main house): Extremely comfortable and well appointed room with queen size bed. Full en-suite bathroom. TV, fan, heater, electric blanket (in winter), hairdryer, safe, mini bar and hot/cold tray is available. Gowns provided. Breakfast is served in the dining room or on the verandah. 1 x Standard Room with no lagoon view (located in the Main house): Comfortable and well appointed room with queen size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. TV, fan, heater, electric blanket (in winter), hairdryer, safe, mini bar and hot/cold tray is available. Gowns provided. Breakfast is served in the dining room or on the verandah. We have complimentary wireless internet facilities for guests who have their own equipment (laptops, etc). Activities offered at the property: A swimming pool and small gym are available for use by Hide-Away guests. Children: We accept children. Rates are as follows: Check In/Check Out Time: We will attempt to have room available should guests arrive prior to 14.00. Prior confirmation is required for arrivals after 19.00. Check outs not later than 11.00. |
| Directions | Coming from Cape Town/George
N2 to Knysna from Cape Town On approaching Knysna, after the turn off to Brenton-on-Sea, you will cross the "white bridge". Travel approx. 7 kms passing Welbedacht Road and Old Cape Road. After Old Cape Road take next turning left into Albatross Street Turn immediately left after 1 (ONE) meter Follow service road parallel to N2 (must see the lagoon) Our Sign is across from our driveway Take care as you travel along the lagoon as there is construction taking place on this section of the road. Coming from Port Elizabeth N2 to Knysna from PE Drive through the town of Knysna. Look out for Total petrol station on the right. From the next traffic light (junction of Main Road & Waterfront Drive) take 3rd road on the right (Albatross Street) Turn left after 1 (ONE) meter Follow service road parallel to N2 (must see the lagoon) Our Sign is across from our driveway |
| Tariffs | 0 – 2 years pay 20% of the adult rate (we provide a camp cot) These rates are applicable if children share a room with their parents or guardian, otherwise the adult rate is applicable. Cancellation Policy: Less than 7 days: Forfeit the full deposit Cancellations in excess of 28 days prior may incur a maximum 5% administration fee to cover banking and handling charges. |
